Barajas, a member of Arizona's 2001 World Series championship team, was a non-roster invitee to the Diamondbacks this spring. Analisis: The 37-year-old Barajas was with the Diamondbacks from 1999 to 2003. He later played for Texas, Toronto, the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets and Pittsburgh. Barajas has a career .235 average with 136 home runs and 480 RBIs and very little fantasy impact.

The team said Sunday the 37-year-old agreed to a minor league contract. He will go to spring training and compete with Wil Nieves for a backup job behind Miguel Montero. Analisis: Barajas hit .206 with 11 homers and 31 RBIs in 321 at-bats for Pittsburgh last year. According to STATS, he threw out just four of 97 runners attempting to steal on him. He played for Arizona from 1999-03, then went to Texas (2004-06), Philadelphia (2007), Toronto (2008-09), the New York Mets (2010) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (2010-11).
